Most of the times, in this growing world, we forget what passed us by. Gratitude is not seen as often as it should be seen. Gratitude is difficult to teach and must come from within. Students tend to forget the awareness and passion with which their teachers had taught them in school.

Over time, each of the students achieves their ambition in life, but they tend to forget the efforts put in by their teachers who helped them achieve their goal.

There is no one in the world who would not accept that it is the efforts of their teachers that have helped them achieve the destination that they have reached in their lives. It is their teachers who have helped them achieve this, with their dedication, patience and simplicity.

Without the efforts of the teacher, no progress is possible. A teacher’s position in the society is of prestige and honour. Students somehow tend to remember the most important qualities of the teacher. They always remember the one who cared for them the most.

It is impossible to forget how teachers nurture the students with care. As a teacher, genuineness and tenderness is a simple combination which is difficult to achieve. It takes significant efforts on the behalf of a teacher to teach his students, and get things right, one day following the other. Yet they always do it right, and it is only right that the students recognize their effort.

As a student, it is impossible to forget an individual who steadied you through difficult situations in life. He is the one who empowered you when things did not go your way. One can never forget someone who could see a spark in you, which others failed to see. The students recall instructors who tested them and made them think. In the same way, an instructor who is unique from others is recalled as well.

As a teacher, it is always important to try and create an environment which helps enhance the relationship with students, and makes them feel at home. Connecting with student always involves a sense of trust, which draws the students closer to a teacher.

Young aspirants who are away from home would want their teacher to be loving, caring and understanding. It makes the transition easier, within school, and the transition of growing up to be a mature individual.

All things considered, good teachers need not be flawless. But such should be their dedication towards the students that they leave all tensions behind when they enter the classroom. When a teacher expects the best, he must deliver his best as well.

A gift by students for their teachers

Let us take a look at a few of the traits of teachers which make them memorable for the students.

Knowing each of their students personally:

Caring is an important aspect in any teacher-student relationship. Caring beyond the classroom is the factor which makes a student comfortable in the teacher’s presence.

A student must feel that he can easily share any problem with his teacher. It is only with the love for students that a teacher gets to know them in detail. This is a quality that should never be lagging. Then, interaction is also very important. Talking with the students about their likes and dislikes helps nurture a bond among the two. It is a teacher’s ethics that make him unforgettable, and those are the qualities that students inculcate within their own being.

Fulfilling the requirements at a psychological level:

Teachers who always support students make them feel safe and secure. Interacting with the students and communicating well make them feel that there is someone who cares for them. A teacher must have a moral and ethical commitment to care for their students.

Keep the students involved:

A teacher must make sure that he attends to each of the students in a class and all students feel involved. Students always love it when a teacher shows the extra attention towards a student’s work and lessons gently. It’s always beneficial as students learn and grow better.

This is a better style of teaching which turns out to be more effective.

Sense of belonging:

As a teacher fosters a sense of belonging among students, it helps creates a sound and mature sense of community. Nonverbal communication with the student also conveys the positive commitment of a teacher towards his students.

Individual attention to each of the students makes them more confident and caring. Interactivity always works nicely for a classroom. It is best if a teacher figures out topics for their students, which delights the students and makes a fine learning experience as well.

Classrooms become fun for students

Kind of attention towards student at all times:

It is important to be kind to students at all times and places. This not only makes student feel precious and safe but also helps them realize that there is someone at school he can lay his trust in. It is a feeling that comes from within and when a teacher is dedicated, the students always figure out the story.

A teacher must make a conscious effort to know more about their students, their hobbies and interests. They should get to know the child’s parents as well and take time out to interact with them. It shows a teacher’s commitment on behalf of their students. This also keeps the bond loving and memorable, and the students feel that there is someone who stands by them.

Simple things like celebrating birthdays in classrooms and rewarding positive behaviour with praise inspires students to repeat the positive conduct.

It is beyond his academic performance and capabilities that a student exists. This must be understood and recognized by teachers, and they must respect each child for what he is. That is where the true value of a teacher is recognized.

When the students are comfortable in interacting with students, the most loving bonds between the two are created. Good teachers raise good citizens who have a high sense of morality and responsibility.

One must take time out to value the contributions that his teachers have made towards his life.
